This tour takes you to two of the main capitals of South America and also to the beautiful Southern Lakes District.   The southern lakes region is encircled by a group of National Parks. Virgin forests embracing innumerable lakes and the remarkable backdrop of the Southern Andean Patagonia Range create a scene of incredible beauty.


Hotels quoted are tourist, superior and first class categories (similar to 3*, 4* and 5* categories).  The hotels we use are clean, safe, with private facilities and are centrally located.

Day 1

Santiago

Chile’s elegant capital beautifully situated at the foot of the majestic Andes Mountains Range. The majestic Andean Mountain Range can be seen from almost anywhere in the city. Santiago is one of the few capital cities in the world which has easy access both to ski slopes and beaches.
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2

Santiago

Today you will be taken on a half day panoramic tour of Santiago.

Day 3

Santiago / Puerto Varas

Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Varas.  Upon arrival, you will be met and taken to your hotel.
Puerto Varas is a beautiful alpine type village on Lake Llanquihue.

Day 4

Lakes Crossing: Puerto Varas/ Peulla

This morning will be met at your hotel and start the Southern Lakes Crossing, which is a combination of bus and boat travel traversing this spectacular area.
You will travel by coach around the shores of Lake Llanquihue. After entering the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park you will visit the famous Petrohue Falls and then cross Lake Todos Los Santos (also known as Esmeralda), seeing Osorno Volcano and the peaks of Tronador Mountain to Peulla, where you stop for Chilean Immigration and Customs procedures and overnight.

Day 5

Lakes Crossing: Peulla / Bariloche

This morning you will cross the Vicente Perez Rosales Pass and enter Argentina. You then travel by catamaran across Lake Frias, by bus to Puerto Blest and finally, by boat to Puerto Panuelo, located in Bariloche.
Bariloche, situated on the shore of beautiful Lake Nahuel Huapi, is an internationally recognised Swiss style ski resort and the best centre for exploring the Nahuel Huapi National Park and its surrounding areas. The Lakes Crossing tour will finish at your hotel.

Day 6

Bariloche

This afternoon’s tour is known as “Circuito Chico”, and it takes you through the most beautiful part of this National Park of forest, lakes & mountains, culminating at Punto Panoramico for a spectacular 360 degree view of this stunning area.

Day 7

Bariloche / Buenos Aires

Transfer to the airport. Arrival in Buenos Aires and transfer to your hotel.

Day 8

Buenos Aires

A morning tour of Buenos Aires, during which you will see the Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada (Government House), Cabildo (Old City Hall), the City Hall, the monumental Congress Building set in its impressive Square. Other highlights are the 9 de Julio Ave, the widest in the world; the Colón Theatre, Argentina’s famous Opera House, which stages the most important artists and musicians from all over the world. We will also visit the picturesque La Boca district, which resembles a typical Italian neighbourhood, Palermo Park and the historical Recoleta Cemetery, with its ornate memorials. Afternoon at leisure for you to explore this cosmopolitan city.
